Book 3 Release Date Inside!!!
And the shift I hope to make in 2025

My goal for 2025 is to be more gentle with myself. To rest more. To slowwwww down.
Since I decided to self-publish in 2022, these past several years have been non-stop. My turnaround between books 1 and 2 was FAST (only 11 months), which meant feeling high pressure and pushing myself hard for my second release.
I'm learning... I don't need to do that.
Yes, I want to release a book each year through book 4. But it's not the end of the world if it doesn't happen.
The series finale is big and important!! So I want to get it right. Which means trusting that my readers will be here when the book is ready - even if it's early 2027.
When we have big dreams, it can be hard to not chase them all at once. But we are still humans who need to live and breathe and rest. Your dreams will still be there even if you need to make the path toward them slower!

With that being said, I am ready to announce the release day of my third book in 2025! You are the first to get the news before I announce on Insta tomorrow.
When Death Is Hiding comes out on September 2nd, 2025!!!!
(The day after my birthday!!)
For no real reason, I've apparently decided to have all my books come out on the second day of the month.

It just feels right.

😫 STRUGGLING 😫
Beginning to draft The Severed Fates’ fourth, FINAL book for my PaWriCo challenge feels like... I don't know. Shoveling manure? Trying to form it into a pretty pile, but it's still... manure... 😂
Which is okay! I'm not trying to write anything beautiful right now.
Book four is going to be wild. The first three books' storylines collide, realm-breaking chaos ensues, and centuries of the Fates messing things up need to be resolved by a bunch of teenagers...
So, the purpose of this first draft is making sense of the plot. I need to know enough about my finale so that book three can set things up *perfectly.*
Which means letting my words be ugly manure and just trying to shovel them into a stable pile best I can. Then I'll, uh, plant some seeds... so it will grow a flower later? Not sure about this metaphor anymore.

I am transitioning into private practice for my therapy work, which is another way that I hope to embrace a less stressful lifestyle in 2025! (See these cute stuffies I gave to my team of therapists at the agency I am leaving.)
I'm already trying to rest a little bit more...
Gaming! -- finished FFVII Remake, playing Spider-Man 2
Reading! -- loved Code of Reanimation by Lanie Mores and I'm Thinking of Ending Things by Iain Reid
Shows! -- watching Vice Principals and Arcane. Just finished Fleabag (also great)
Movies! -- obsessed with Wicked. We just watched "I Saw the TV Glow" … it was so emotional and good!
Hobbies! -- I've been working on a diamond painting, crocheting a bit, trying to learn felting... My husband and I have our final piano lesson this week before we take a break for a while!!
